Laura Siegel makes herself Traceable

Traceable is a documentary directed by Jennifer K. Sharpe. It focuses on how luxury goods are made, where they come from, and the impact they have on developing communities. Sharpe quotes “Noticing the trend in labelling clothing as “sustainable” while witnessing a departure of manufacturing and production in the apparel industry in North America, was the beginning of my impetus for Traceable.

The film features Toronto-born Laura Siegel, one of the women's wear collections we carry, and her journey to rural India to collaborate and learn from the local artisans. “I always thought it was detrimental to be hiding what I was doing. The more information you share, the more you are going to learn and the more you are going to grow." said Siegel, an alumna of the prestigious Parsons The New School of Design in New York City.
