Rosedale Art Fair: A Weekend in Paris
This weekend, a two-day curated art fair is taking place in our neighbourhood! Participating restaurants and merchants along Yonge Street from Crescent Road to Woodlawn Avenue are showcasing and selling artwork from emerging artists.
There will be an outdoor fair at Scrivener Square, right across from the iconic Summerhill LCBO. Head over on June 10th and 11th between 11 am and 6 pm to hang out in the wine lounge, see a live band, and view unique pieces from local artists ranging from paintings, photographs, drawings, and other art forms.
From a very young age Niki engaged in art, studying sculpture, painting, drawing and photography at the Burlington Art Centre and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Niki completed her self motivated project, #AnArtworkADay, in which she created an original piece of art daily, using acrylic, oil or watercolour. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University and has contributed to several industry publications including Interfold Magazine, and Ontario Artist. Niki's watercolour prints have become a staple at Room 2046, and make fantastic gifts and colourful home decor.
Luke Siemens is a Toronto-based Artist who works in drawing and digital media. His work has been shown nationally from Saskatoon, to Montreal and Toronto. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008, and a Master of Fine Arts from York University in 2012. Three of his original pieces will be on display and available for purchase at Room 2046 during the art fair.
Visit our store on Saturday between 11 am 6 pm and Sunday between 12 pm and 5 pm to view Niki and Luke's art while sipping on a cappuccino or valmonte. Best of all, you get a free beverage with a purchase of one of Niki or Luke's pieces during the fair!
